Peacock, a country pub in Nantwich

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

Originally built in the mid-19th century as Ashfield House, it became a pub in the 20th. The old house’s formal gardens have made way to a large grassed open space that is popular in the summer with families.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

Charming country pubs in lovely locations

Located between Nantwich and Crewe, guests can visit nearby Beeston Castle with its incredible views over eight counties, the racing circuit of Oulton Park – where you can enjoy adrenaline-fuelled Supercar Driving days. Whilst the fascinating history of one of Cheshire’s most attractive and historic towns is brought to life by the Nantwich Museum. The town itself plays host to a Food festival and a Jazz and Blues festival and is the site of the historic church of St. Mary’s, a must-see as a spiritual piece of history. Not forgetting Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, off limits to the public for the past 50 years.
