The Green Man, a country pub in Longfield

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

The gradual evolution of The Green Man into a pub restaurant traces its origins back to the 17th century, when the building was a farmhouse that brewed ale for the farm workers. Legend has it a green branch was hung out the upstairs window to let the workers know when the ale was ready. The Green Man is still a popular place to enjoy Real Ale.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
