The White Lion in Yateley is a country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Book a table online and enjoy a spot by our roaring log-fire. Or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in our pretty beer garden.
Having existed for over 150 years, The White Lion was licensed in 1856 by Mr James Rogers - look out for his tankard in the pub restaurant to this day. The renowned 19th Century murderer Charles Peace was said to have kept the horse he used to escape on in the inn's stables, before being caught and executed in 1879.
On the old coaching road-hub between Reading and London, and right in the heart of the village, we're a popular stop for anglers, cricket fans or, as legend has it, a local curate turned highwayman!
