About The Bay Horse

Traditional Hospitality at The Bay Horse

Of all the pubs in Skipton, The Bay Horse is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Yorkshire Dales. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

The first records of the Bay Horse date back to 1822, at that time it was occupied by a Mr William Mawson, when the population of Bradley consisted of only 506 people. By the 1860's when Bradley became industrialised, The Bay Horse quenched the thirsts of workers from the local spinning and weaving mills.

Around The Area

This fine country inn is perfect for walkers, having a lovely location in the picturesque village of Bradley by the banks of the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Skipton Woods nearby is managed by The Woodland Trust.
