Charming country pubs in lovely locations

The Brassmill played an integral part in the development of the brass manufacturing industry in Britain. By adapting Dutch techniques, Abraham Darby set up the first brass mills in Keynsham around 1706. The final brass battery pans ever made in Britain were produced here in June 1927. Now a pub-restaurant, we maintain the name as a sign of our heritage.

Deep in the idyllic Avon Valley, you'll love The Brassmill and its ancient beams. Its large garden overlooks the river, a green mill pond with ducks and foaming weir. You can walk along the Kennet & Avon Canal too.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
