About The Bumble Bee
Traditional Hospitality at The Bumble Bee
Of all the pubs in Gloucester, The Bumble Bee is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in National. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.
A Little Pub History
Waterwells, where the Bumble Bee is situated, is mentioned as early as 1605 and was the part of a parish noted for its many fresh water springs. In 1901 the land was mainly meadow, but by the 1930's large orchards had been planted, probably to supply G.H.Mayo and Sons, cider makers and fruit merchants.
