About The Crow and Gate

Traditional Hospitality at The Crow and Gate

Of all the pubs in Crowborough, The Crow and Gate is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Sussex and the Sea. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

Originally owned by the gatekeeper of Crowborough Gate, travellers have been enjoying the hospitality of The Crow and Gate for over 200 years. Today guests travelling between Uckfield and Royal Tunbridge Wells come to experience our great food in the town which was once home to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Around The Area

Visitors to Ashdown Forest, the setting for AA Milne's 'Winnie the Pooh' books, love to drop in at The Crow & Gate for refreshment - it's on the doorstep. And Crowborough is surrounded by outstandingly beautiful natural countryside.
