About The Dolphin
Traditional Hospitality at The Dolphin
Of all the pubs in Haywards Heath, The Dolphin is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Sussex and the Sea. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.
A Little Pub History
Formerly known as the Sergison's Arms, The inn is thought to be the first local hostelry initially opened to cater the militia. Dating back to the 16th century, the inn started life as a private dwelling called Vynalls, after John Vynall who died in 1599.

Around The Area
Our rambling 16th century inn overlooks the green in the centre of historic Haywards Heath and is very close to the Muster Green conservation area. It was originally known as 'Vynals' after John Vynall.
