About The Dore Moor Inn

Traditional Hospitality at The Dore Moor Inn

Of all the pubs in Dore Sheffield, The Dore Moor Inn is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in South Yorkshire. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

Originally a coaching inn, the pub was built in 1816 when the Chapel-en-Le-Frith Turnpike road was first constructed. Its location brought in so many travellers looking to rest their horses that extensive stabling had to be added to the west of the inn. Originally called the Devonshire, The Dore Moor Inn was renamed in 1827 after the village of Dore in which it sits.

Around The Area

Originally a coaching inn, The Dore Moor Inn is a substantial stone-built pub, sitting on the fringe of Sheffield and the Peak District. The area offers rich history, and the best of town and country.
