Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in South Wales. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Refined Dining Experience

You can also enjoy candlelit evenings in our designated dining rooms, so relax in style and comfort - and experience full table service to make the occasion even more special.

A Little Pub History

Steeped in history, The Dragonfly sits in an area of great significance to the ancient Celtic people. The pub was formerly known as The Celtic Springs, referring to a sacred spring to the east of the inn. To its north sits another enchanted site, the infamous Witching Tree, a tree which Celtic myth states has people trapped within it.

Around The Area

The Dragon Fly is right on the doorstep of Tredegar House, the ancient home of the Morgan Family, set in a beautiful 90 acre park. Nearby Bassaleg draws many visitors and the Cwm Hedd Lakes offer numerous activities.
