You'll love the choice here at The Hawes Inn. As well as wonderful pub-food classics such as Homemade Beefburger or Fish Pie, we offer inventive modern twists such as Aromatic Braised Pork Belly or Spinach and Ricotta Strudel.

You'll also find plenty of fine cask ales and a cellar full of hand-picked wines.

Some of our favourite dishes include:

  • Cod and Chips a thick cut sustainable cod loin in today's beer batter with seasoned chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce
  • Lemon and Garlic Half Roast Chicken served quartered with seasoned chips and a caramelised garlic and parsley mayonnaise
  • Wild Boar and Chorizo Burger, chargrilled in a soft bun with tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise, served with dressed slaw and seasoned chips

Our fixed price menu is available Monday to Saturday until 5pm. Enjoy a main course for £6.50, and add a starter or pudding for only £2!

You can also join us at the end of the week for our greatest of culinary customs: a hand-carved Sunday roast with all your favourite trimmings.

Bring the kids along, too

As a family-friendly pub, we pride ourselves on providing good food for little people. So we offer smaller portions of some of our classic main dishes, including cod and chips, rump steak, and BBQ chicken. Choose two courses and a Fruit Shoot for £6.95.

Our Opening Times

Our standard opening times are below but we may open earlier on certain days depending on local demand so please do call us to check if you would like to visit us before midday.

Monday to Saturday 12pm to 11pm.
Sundays 12.30pm to 10.30pm.
