More NewsWelcome to The Heron's Nest
The Heron's Nest is well known in Solihull and across the West Midlands as a fine country pub. A popular pub restaurant famous for great food, we are nestled at the top of the chocolate box village of Knowle. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a great selection of real ales and a diverse wine menu for you to choose from.
A Little Pub History
Various inns have existed on the site of The Heron's Nest since 1816, the first being The Blue Boar. Our position alongside the Grand Union Canal has meant that the building has had dealings in the coal trade and was for a while a canalside Cafe. But beware as it is said that the building was once haunted by a Cavalier.
