About The Hillside Inn
Traditional Hospitality at The Hillside Inn
Of all the pubs in Crawley, The Hillside Inn is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in North Downs and Surrey. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.
A Little Pub History
Formerly known as the King's Head, The Hillside Inn started life in the early 1800's, when many of our guests were coach travellers going between London and Brighton. Although the building wasn't used as a pub for half of the 19th Century, by the 20th Century The Hillside Inn was welcoming guests from all over West Sussex.

Around The Area
Our gorgeous historic pub started life as a coaching inn during the early 1800s when coach travel between London and Brighton took off. We have a lovely patio and just south of the inn is Tilgate Park.
