About The Kings Head

Traditional Hospitality at The Kings Head

Of all the pubs in Billericay, The Kings Head is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Essex. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

The King's Head dates back to 1750 when it was known as the White Horse. The pub was auctioned in 1801, when under the ownership of William Reynolds. Travellers journeying between Rochford and Brentwood often stopped at the King's Head for refreshment prior to passing through the toll-gate which stood next to the inn.

Around The Area

Our black and white timbered inn dates to 1750, and is the perfect stop off for visitors to the delightful Norsey Woods nature reserve or those taking youngsters to enjoy the wonders of Barleylands Farm.
