More NewsWelcome to The Malt Shovel
The Malt Shovel is well known in Uxbridge and across Greater London as a fine country pub. A popular pub restaurant famous for great food, we are on the door step of The Grand Junction of the Grand Union Canal. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a great selection of real ales and a diverse wine menu for you to choose from.
A Little Pub History
The Malt Shovel pub restaurant is a beautiful 19th century listed building, which used to welcome guests working and travelling on the country's waterways. Now our canal side location provides an ideal place to relax and unwind in a town famous for its former resident, George Orwell, whilst enjoying our Real Ale.

Around The Area
Situated just outside London, in the town of Uxbridge, The Malt Shovel offers an easily accessible place to enjoy our great pub restaurant food for guests from Hillingdon, Cowley and Ickenham. We are also popular with golfers after a day at the C and L Golf and Country Club and narrow boaters enjoying The Grand Union Canal, one of the countrys's leading waterways.
