Let Us Entertain You

Enjoy live music at The Mermaid the first Sunday evening in every month - starting Sunday 5th September with Synergy (an acoustic Mediterranean trio who play an array of popular covers ) from 7-10pm and followed by the soulful voice of Saskia (Sunday 3rd October), who with her backing guitarist will charm you with renditions of Marvin Gaye, Corrine Bailey Rae and many more.

The Mermaid in Wightwick is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Book a table online and enjoy a spot by our roaring log-fire. Or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in our pretty beer garden.

A Little Pub History

In 1780 the Mermaid Inn was one of 23 houses in the vicinity of old Wightwick Manor. The manor house was handed over to the National Trust in 1937, and the Mermaid benefited from a new influx of visitors who came to see the historic house. We still welcome them today.

Make a day of it

The Mermaid Inn is nearly 250-years-old and is sandwiched between the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal and Wightwick Manor. You can walk along the canal towpath and we are an ideal stop for visitors to the manor.
