The Old Stables in Fontwell is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

A Little Pub History
The Old Stables takes its name from the buildings that were previously on the site of the racecourse. The course officially opened on 21st May 1924. One of the most attractive racecourses in the country, Fontwell Park has been voted the Best Small Racecourse in the South East for several consecutive years.
Make a day of it
Our rustic inn with beautiful gardens is at Fontwell Park racecourse, and a real oasis on the road between the picturesque towns of Arundel and Chichester. We're also close to the Festival of Speed at Goodwood.
Adjacent to our pub restaurant is a Travelodge hotel.

Our Opening Times
Our standard opening times are below but we may open earlier on certain days depending on local demand so please do call us to check if you would like to visit us before midday.
Monday to Saturday 12pm to 11pm.
Sundays 12pm to 10.30pm.
