About The Plymouth Arms

Traditional Hospitality at The Plymouth Arms

Of all the pubs in Saint Fagans, The Plymouth Arms is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in South Wales. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Refined Dining Experience

You can also enjoy candlelit evenings in our designated dining rooms, so relax in style and comfort - and experience full table service to make the occasion even more special.

A Little Pub History

The inn takes its name from Elizabeth Lewis, heiress of a major local landowner in the area, who married the Third Earl of Plymouth in the early 1700's. The Plymouth Arms' location provided easy access to Cardiff and was a popular stop off point for people travelling there in traditional handsom cabs.

Around The Area

Our lovely Grade II listed pub has great character. It's almost on the doorstep of the National History Museum and St Fagans Castle which has a commanding position above the River Ely.
