About The Ram Inn
Traditional Hospitality at The Ram Inn
Of all the pubs in Holme Chapel, The Ram Inn is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Yorkshire Dales. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.
A Little Pub History
The Ram Inn became a Public House around 1848, when a James Lancaster, who acquired two properties on the Burnley Road, enlarged one of them into an inn. Lancaster was still the landlord of The Ram Inn in 1881 when he was almost seventy. The inn was well known for hosting sheepdog trials, a clue as to where it got its name from, until well after the Second World War.

Around The Area
The ancient Ram Inn is a magnet for ramblers and country lovers in unspoilt Holme Chapel in beautiful Cliviger Gorge. The woods are ideal for walking and link to the Mary Towneley Loop path.
