About The Red Lion

Traditional Hospitality at The Red Lion

Of all the pubs in Alvechurch, The Red Lion is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

Originally occupied by a row of old cottages, the site upon which The Red Lion stands dates back to the 1700's. Before the existence of the police force, the building was used as meeting place for landowners to discuss the activities of thieves and trespassers. Today The Red Lion offers a meeting place for friends and family to enjoy real ale or our diverse wine selection.

Around The Area

Dating to the 1700s, The Red Lion inn has long been at the heart of village life in beautiful Alvechurch, in the valley of the River Arrow. The pub has a tradition as the village meeting place.
