The Red Lion, Alvechurch, a country pub in Birmingham

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

Originally occupied by a row of old cottages, the site upon which The Red Lion stands dates back to the 1700's. Before the existence of the police force, the building was used as meeting place for landowners to discuss the activities of thieves and trespassers. Today The Red Lion offers a meeting place for friends and family to enjoy real ale or our diverse wine selection.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
