About The Saint George and Dragon

Traditional Hospitality at The Saint George and Dragon

Of all the pubs in Clyst Saint George, The Saint George and Dragon is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Devon, Cornwall and the Riviera. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

Dating back to the 19th Century, the inn originally comprised a brew house, skittle alley, garden stables, outbuildings and a three-acre arable field. By the 1920's, The St. George and Dragon was one of the leading roadhouses in the county, described in auction details as "the most unique inn in Devon."
