About The Seal
Traditional Hospitality at The Seal
Of all the pubs in Woodbridge, The Seal is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Eastern Rivers. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.
A Little Pub History
The Seal is so called because of the seals seen in the nearby River Deben. The hill we sit on is the very hill that the Grand Old Duke of York marched his 10,000 men up before marching them down again. This is a reference to the troop encampment located here in Napoleon's time to protect the coast.

Around The Area
The Seal is a distinctive country pub near the River Debden, a perfect refreshment stop for visitors to Woodbridge, the Tide Mill and Sutton Hoo. Our pub is so named because of the seals in the river.
