About The Swallows Nest

Traditional Hospitality at The Swallows Nest

Of all the pubs in Romsley, The Swallows Nest is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Black Country. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

Previously known as the Fighting Cocks, The Swallows Nest is one of the few inns to have stood the test of time in Romsley. Although with our age comes a tale of haunting as it is said that a previous landlady, whose ashes were scattered in the grounds, still haunts the cellars. So avoid her by sticking to the bar and enjoying a pint of the Real Ale she so jealously guards.

Around The Area

Our pretty pub sits in attractive countryside, and was first licensed in 1825. Romsley is to the east of the Clent Hills and the north of the Waseley Hills, and is a magnet for walkers.
