Welcome to The Swan Inn

The Swan Inn is well known in Horning, Norwich and across Norfolk and East Anglia as a fine country pub. A popular pub restaurant famous for great food, we are on the banks of the River Bure part of the beautiful Norfolk Broads. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a great selection of real ales and a diverse wine menu for you to choose from.

A Little Pub History

The Swan Inn is a majestic building overlooking a sharp bend in the River Bure. The origins of The Swan were a cottage built on the site in 1696 but the main part of the building dates from the early 19th century. It's position on the Norfolk Broads has made it a distinctive landmark for river users and locals alike, it's most recent claim to fame being the setting for two of Arthur Ransom's (author of Swallows and Amazons) children's books 'Coot Club' and 'The Big Six'
