About The Three Crowns

Traditional Hospitality at The Three Crowns

Of all the pubs in Stone, The Three Crowns is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Cheshire and Staffordshire. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

When The Three Crowns was first built it was used as a coaching inn, offering friendly hospitality to weary travellers and providing them with refreshing pitchers of ale and hearty bowls of broth. Cyclists in the 1940's used the inn in a similar fashion, stopping here for a refreshing break whilst cycling to the popular day-trip village of Sandon.

Around The Area

This quaint, thatched, former coaching inn on the edge of the old market town of Stone is a good base for country walks by the river or canal. Cycle tourists and narrow-boaters are frequent guests.
