The Three Jolly Wheelers in Chigwell is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

A little pub history
Built in the early 19th Century, The Three Jolly Wheelers originally relied heavily on the tourist trade. A photograph of the inn taken in 1906 shows that the inn used to hire out horses and traps - most likely used by day-trippers travelling to Epping Forest. We still welcome tourists to this day, in addition to locals looking to unwind and choose from our diverse drink and food menus.

The Three Jolly Wheelers is a short train ride from central London yet is a great base for exploring ancient Epping Forest; spectacular woodland that has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Adjacent to our pub restaurant is a Travelodge hotel.

Our standard opening times are below but we may open earlier on certain days depending on local demand so please do call us to check if you would like to visit us before midday.
Monday to Saturday 12pm to 11pm.
Sundays 12pm to 10.30pm.
