A little pub history
Originally a family home and then a shop, The White Lion was a fully licensed pub restaurant by 1835. Before this the village shop sold local beer, but it was forbidden to drink on the premises, so the farmers drank their beer in a hedge down the lane. The White Lion now welcomes guests to join us in comfortable surroundings to relax and unwind.

The exposed beams of The White Lion testify to its long history and provide a distinctive backdrop. The old centre of Allesley is a conservation area and there is a network of rural footpaths.

Our opening times
Our standard opening times are below but we may open earlier on certain days depending on local demand so please do call us to check if you would like to visit us before midday.
Monday to Saturday 12pm to 11pm.
Sundays 12pm to 10.30pm.
