About The Wolseley Arms

Traditional Hospitality at The Wolseley Arms

Of all the pubs in Wolseley Bridge, The Wolseley Arms is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Cheshire and Staffordshire. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

A Little Pub History

The inn was formerly known as The Roebuck up until 1960 when it became the Wolseley Arms. Originally, the inn was used as a regular changing place for coaches on long journeys before railways were introduced, and at one time over a hundred horses were kept at the Wolseley Arms for this purpose.

Around The Area

Close to Shugborough Hall and Cannock Chase, our old farmhouse-style pub in the hamlet of Wolseley Bridge offers pleasing views over the Trent. Originally a staging post for coaches, over 100 horses were once kept here.
