The Tickled Trout, a country pub in Glasgow

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

The land on which the inn stands was originally purchased by the owner of Boclair Farm in Milngavie and began life as a shop selling vegetables grown on the farm. The Antonine Wall, built after Hadrian's Wall, runs nearby and a Roman bath hose was found a mile to the west of the pub at Bearseden. Also found, at the near by Chapel Hill, were altars and religious stones with Roman inscriptions.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
