The Beachy Head
Beachy Head Road, Beachy Head, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN20 7YA 01323 728060
We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
The Beachy Head Hotel started life as the Queen's Restaurant in 1880 and became the Beachy Head Hotel in the 1890s. During WW2 it housed an advanced listening post when according to one local, nothing was served but mince and onions. Today we boast a much more appetising menu in a lovely setting with great views over South Downs looking out towards the Belle Tout lighthouse and the English Channel.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal spring dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Many guests are attracted to our award-winning pub for the great views of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs and its proximity to South Downs National Park. During World War II, the pub served as a listening post.
There’s more to The Beachy Head than just great food and drink.
