The Fox House Vintage Inn wins Countryfile award!

We are delighted to announce that The Fox House, Vintage Inn, has been awarded Countryfile’s Country Pub of the Year 2018 in the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards — following a number of months where votes had been cast by nearly 30,000 people.

The Fox House had been shortlisted earlier this year by a panel of Countryfile judges, along with 6 other country pubs around the UK. We are over the moon to announce that Becky and her team have since been chosen as very worthy winners!

For those of you who haven’t yet had an opportunity to visit us, The Fox house dates all the way back to the 18th Century (1773), and originally formed part of the Longshaw estate. It features beautiful panoramic views over the ramblings fields of the Peak District, and also is fortunate to have the amazingly photogenic Padley Gorge, right on its doorstep.

As a result of its scenic surroundings and enduring popularity, The Fox House remains a favoured destination for walkers and tourists, as they set out to explore the beautifully expansive countryside.
