The building dates back to the 18th century when Sproughton was a small hamlet, most of the few inhabitants making their living from the land. Although for most of its long history the building was divided into a number of farm cottages, rumour has it that may have actually started life as an inn.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

A destination in its own right, The Beagle is a country pub full of character, with lovely paddocked gardens. The building is 18th century and for most of its long history it was divided into farm cottages.
