Fowler’s Farm has been a part of Braintree’s local history for 600 years. During the Second World War, the farm became a safety hub for the local community as they hid from nightly bombing raids. Decades later, it’s now a warm and vibrant country pub with a fantastic garden that’s perfect for those long, warmer, evenings for you, your family and your four-legged friends!

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

Fowler’s Farm has been around for over 600 years and our stunning inn is a great starting base for popping into town or for a visit to the nearby Freeport Braintree outlet shopping village.

On those rare sunny days, our beer garden is the ideal spot to sit and soak up the sun after taking the little ones to see the animals at Colchester Zoo – which is just 11 miles from The Fowler’s Farm.
