London Road, Kegworth, Derby, Derbyshire, DE74 2EY 01509 672372
A country pub near you oozing rural charm and rustic character.
In the 1800s, nestled in the Derbyshire countryside in the charming village of Kegworth, there was an inn known as The Navigation. A succession of inns occupied the site in the following years, until The Otter was established in 1996. The Otter is the perfect riverside English country pub, serving up all your traditional favourites.
Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.
There’s always a great reason to visit The Otter.
Throughout the week we run Fixed Price Lunch and Dinner menus,
and on a Friday (from 5pm) and Saturday (all day) we’ve our fantastic Weekend Treat Menu!
Take a look through our Offers for a full list of delights we can currently tempt you with,

Beside Birmingham and Fazeley Canal, our old inn has wonderful gardens and is great for a waterside walk. A World War II pillbox stands by the canal bridge, and north there is ancient woodland at Hopwas Hayes.
There’s more to The Otter than just great food and drink.
Did you know that if you’re a CAMRA member you can enjoy 20p off any pint of cask ale?
