The Springfield Inn, a country pub in Nottingham

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

The village of Lowdham is situated in between Nottingham and Southwell, and within it The Springfield Inn is nestled in Nottinghamshire countryside. For many years we welcomed guests on foot and now welcome walkers to rest their feet before continuing on their journey. The village's name means 'village by the loud stream' in old English, which refers to the nearby river Trent.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.

Charming country pubs in lovely locations

Our pub's location makes it a magnet for walkers and visitors to the Trent Valley, a beautiful part of England. It is possible to pick up the Trent Valley Way by leaving The Springfield and walking into the village.

Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Springfield Inn.
