As you relax with us and take in the country sights, it’s important that the world surrounding you is taken care of. And that’s why, following the UK’s commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050, we’ve decided to take the time to reflect on our current carbon footprint and create a plan that helps limit our impact on the planet.
So far, we’re proud of all we’ve achieved, but there’s long path ahead of us, and more we can do to help.
Our parent company Mitchell’s & Butlers has been making small, daily changes that hopefully have a long-lasting effect on Earth, and along with sustainable decision-making and improvements, we’ve been focusing on:
o Net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 (Scopes 1, 2 and 3)
o Achieving zero waste to landfill by 2030
o By 2030, seeing a food waste reduction of 50%
o We’ve been collaborating with FareShare and redistributing surplus food to communities in need
o We’re powered by 100% renewable energy
o 96% of our operational waste is diverted from landfill
o We’re founding members of the Zero Carbon Forum, committed to reducing our emissions and creating a Roadmap to Net Zero
