The Broughton Inn, a country pub in Preston
We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
For over 150 years this proud building has stood in the heart of historic Broughton, some 3 miles north of busy Preston. Enjoying a prominent spot on the corner of one of the town's main junctions, it's a classic pub full of history and character. Broughton itself dates back to the Doomsday book and is home to the oldest primary school in the country, as well as a fine old parish church with a steeple dating all the way back to 1533.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
Charming country pubs in lovely locations
Broughton is minutes from the A6, M55 and M6, so it's perfectly placed for you to jump in the car and enjoy all sorts of local scenery, country walks and regional tourist attractions. Preston is just 3 miles away too, so you're just up the road from great shopping, a football match at Preston North End or master paintings at the Harris Art Gallery.
Whether you’re out walking your dog or just exploring the local area, there’s always plenty to do around The Broughton Inn.
