There are plenty of exciting things to visit in Worsley, before or after your visit to The Woodside.
Love the outdoors? Make sure to visit Worsley Woods, occupying around 30 hectares of beautiful woodland. The site can be reached from Salford’s network of looplines or the historical Bridgewater Canal. The circular walk consists of public footpaths, trails, streams, a wild flower trail and there is also a brand new adventure trail where children can enjoy a variety of activity trails to weave their way through the woodland.
Why not also visit Blackleach Country Park? The park became the first one in Salford to become a Local Nature Reserve in 2004 and is a haven with 50 hectares of beautiful countryside set around an impressive reservoir. Holder of the prestigious Green Flag award, Blackleach is an ideal place to enjoy the countryside, take a stroll, picnic, go cycling or fishing, or simply watch out for the local wildlife. Take in the sights and history that Worsley has to offer, then head to The Woodside for a pint or delicious dish.
