With the peaceful Atherington Beach – known fondly as Climping Beach by locals – only half a mile away and beautiful gardens right outside our doors, it’s impossible to believe anyone could ever leave. But that’s what happened in 1992, when the former residents, a Middle Eastern family, left abruptly at the start of the first Gulf War.
We have a feeling that won’t be you, with our charming pub retaining the warm ambience the family knew and loved before their departure from this former private house. These days, it could be home to your next event, from birthday parties, business meetings and baby showers to anniversaries and wedding celebrations.

Conservatory
Maximum capacity: 100 guests
Our breathtaking Conservatory is exactly as the name suggests – light, bright, and beautiful, with your very own personal gateway into our palatial gardens.
Drink in the scenery – along with our eclectic selection of hand-crafted tipples – before soaking up the atmosphere outside alongside friends, family or co-workers – ambience just as warm and inviting as inside our pub.
Have a guest list longer than we’ve been around? Our Conservatory can be combined with our Bar area, wonderfully suited for any large group bookings.
Meeting Room
Maximum capacity: 35-40 guests
For more intimate affairs, show your guests into our Meeting Room, a cosy space perfect for life’s quieter moments – such as a meeting or private event – that’s free from prying eyes, with a luxurious curtain in place.
And behind this curtain, the magic happens – conversation, laughter and celebration, all without lifting a finger. That’s how the best memories are made. All thanks to you, of course.
