The Rose and Crown
London Road, Dunton Green, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 2TH
This grand old coaching inn has been in continuous use since at least the early 1800s. In the nineteenth century it served food and drink to coachmen, weary passengers and a highwayman or two as they travelled up and down the busy London to Hastings coaching route. These days it still provides a warm welcome to those using the busy London Road, serving refreshing drinks and home cooked food in the pretty village of Dunton Green, just 2 miles north of Sevenoaks.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
Whether you are planning dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with family, book a table online and enjoy some quality time with those you love the most.
The Rose and Crown is ideally placed for jumping in the car and exploring the beautiful scenery and rich heritage of picturesque Kent. Stroll around the thousand-acre deer park at Knole, explore the medieval moated manor house at Ightham or see Winston Churchill's home at Chartwell. If you love country walks you'll also find lots of scenic routes nearby, including The North Downs Way and the famous Pilgrim's Way.
