The New Mill, a country pub in Taunton

We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.

Dating back to 1841, the New Mill once nestled upon a meander of the River Tone. Known then as The Bathpool Inn, this watering hole welcomed travellers and locals alike, from brick makers and river men to agricultural labourers and mill workers. Which is where today's worthy title is thought to originate.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, as well as our seasonal dishes, and we’ll be ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, fine wines and British gin to suit very taste - which will taste all the better when enjoyed either in our beautiful gardens or by our crackling log fires.
