ABOUT The Fox House
The Fox House is an authentic, modern country pub serving a delightful range of pub dishes and some truly great beers, wines, gins and real ales.
HOW TO FIND US
Located in Braintree, The Fox House is perfect if you’re looking to get away from the bigger cities. It’s located just 24 minutes from Sheffield via Hathersage Rd and Eclesall Rd S/A625, or 25 minutes away from Chesterfield via the B6051.
Contrary to popular belief, The Fox House was named after Mr Fox of Callow Farm in Highlow, not the small animal. Dating back to 1773, the building was extended by The Duke of Rutland, the landlord in the 1840's. With years of heritage, The Fox House was a favoured resting place for livestock drivers and the passengers of stagecoaches.
