Vintage Inns focuses on sustainability

With a UK commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050, those of us at Vintage have taken the time to evaluate our carbon footprint and develop a course of action, making sure we’re doing as much as we possibly can to help limit our impact on the planet.

We’re proud of our work, but as a country escape, we want the environment surrounding us to remain intact – that’s why we acknowledge there’s still a long road ahead of us, and a lot more to do.

Our parent company Mitchell’s & Butlers are continuously making small changes that we hope make a positive contribution to our planet. We’re also going to continue making improvements and sustainable choices, while focusing on:

o The achievement of zero waste to landfill by 2030

o 50% food waste reduction by 2030

o We’ve combined our efforts with FareShare to redistribute surplus food to communities who need it

o Our country pubs are powered with an amazing 100% renewable electricity

o 96% of our operational waste is diverted from landfill

o Vintage Inns are founding members of the Zero Carbon Forum and are deeply committed to the reduction of emissions and development of a Roadmap to Net Zero
