With rustic interiors and plenty of rural charm, our beautiful country pub is the ideal location for any event or celebration in Penarth.
Originally a Sully House and owned by a captain, it is said that when the captain’s wife died, her body was kept in a box which was later mistaken for treasure and stolen.
Whether you’re planning a birthday party or a business meeting, a baby shower or a wedding celebration, The Captain’s Wife in Penarth is perfectly equipped to host the event.
Throughout the venue there are a number of unique areas and semi-private spaces suitable to accommodate groups and parties. Our beautiful private dining room overlooks the Bristol Channel, and there’s free parking on-site.
We can supply chairs, trestle tables and an easel, as well as a projector and screen if required. There’s also complimentary WiFi throughout the pub to ensure your guests stay connected.
